How Can swollen And Painful Knee be Treated?
my mother is 69 and she had a knee replacement 10 years ago. She fell a week ago but she just began having visiable concern. From her knee down to right above the ankle is warm swollen and painful. Its warm to the touchand very red. It just came out of no where

This may indicate nfectious arhritis or damage of ligaments and meniscus so she should see doctor, do lab test and do xrays of knew. there may be effusion in joint or pus which should be evacuated and sent to analysis. also, antibiotic treatment may be necessary. So this should not delay doctors visit.
